Our founder Liv’s love of horses started back in 2006 when the most beautiful Irish cob Maverick became the first horse to join the family. True to his name, Maverick was a free spirit, always bringing laughter with his daily antics and mischievous ways. Through Maverick’s gentle and affectionate nature, Liv discovered her greatest passion, horses.

 

Growing up in a rural area surrounded by some very special horses, cats, and dogs, Liv spent every day outdoors and discovered the many benefits of fresh air and connecting with nature. Liv decided to combine her work as an occupational therapist and her love of horses and nature, which led to the creation of Maverick Therapies.

 

After being much loved and having had the best life with Liv and her family, Maverick’s legacy is now continued through Maverick Therapies which offers a nurturing, trauma-informed, and neurodiversity-affirming service that supports children, young people, and adults.
